Forgiven-JB McGee

Forgiven (This #3):

Everyone has a past…good or bad, they are always there. They lurk and linger in the shadows, sometimes reappearing at the most inconvenient times.

Gabby and Bradley thought that their pasts would remain dormant, that happiness was theirs for the taking. Still the strongest of relationships can be rocked by the ugliness from a previous life, even if it seems to be a world away. The fact remains an ugly past is never distant. It taints everything it touches, drives permanent rifts between loved ones, and sometimes can ruin everything. Gabby and Bradley must find the only way to battle the past. Forgiveness becomes a light through the darkness, a guide for the lost, and hope for the hopeless. With forgiveness comes bright, new beginnings.

J.B. McGee was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina. After graduating from South Aiken High School, she toured Europe as a member of the 1999 International Bands of America Tour, playing the clarinet. While attending Converse College, an all girls school in Spartanburg, South Carolina, she visited Charleston often. It quickly became one of her favorite vacation spots. She met her husband, Chad, during Christmas break her freshman year, and they married in 2001. They moved back to her hometown. In 2005, the couple welcomed their first son, Noah. J.B. finished her Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of South Carolina-Aiken in 2006. During her time studying children's literature, a professor had encouraged her to become a writer.

In 2007, she welcomed their second child, Jonah, and she became a stay at home mom/entrepreneur. In 2009, they found out their two children and J.B. have Mitochondrial Disease. In 2011, a diagnosis also was given to Chad. Please take a moment and learn more about Mitochondrial Disease. Awareness is key to this disease that has no cure or treatments.

J.B. McGee and her family now reside in Buford, Georgia, to be closer to their children's medical team. After a passion for reading had been re-ignited, J.B. decided to finally give writing a shot.  She is an Amazon Top 100 bestselling author of her debut series, the 'This' Series.

Review

Let me start with this - I love all the books in the 'this trilogy'. JB McGee is amazing.

In forgiven, Book #3 the this trilogy we see more Bradley and Gabby.
... As always nothing is straight foward with this pair. They have come a very long way since 'broken' Gabby has let her walls down for Bradley, and Bradley has been faithful and has put his 'player' days behind him.
Gabby moves to Atlanta to be with Gabby.
A figure from Gabbys past has made a come back, but just who is this person and can Gabby forgive and move on?
Bradley and Gabby finally get there dream wedding, with an extra guest.
I could write about Gabby and Bradley forever.
I almost cried when I read 'the end'. It was like saying goodbye to Gabby and Bradley forever.....but is this really the end?
I love this authors work. JB McGee pours her heart and soul into her writing.

A massive 5* from me.

Deleted Scenes:
“Do you want to take a shower?” I ask.  My hair is like a rat’s nest from sleeping on it last night before it had dried.  If he doesn’t want to take a shower, then I’ll just throw it up into some kind of ponytail or bun and make it look like I wanted it messy on purpose.  I also need to know if I need to get dressed or stay au natural.
“I want breakfast, Gabby.  If I shower with you, we’ll never make it.” He says seriously.
My lips curve into a smile because he is most definitely right.  I turn as I roll my eyes in the back of my head and recall him washing my hair last night.  It’s like I can feel his fingers in my hair, massaging my scalp.  I pull out an outfit, a pair of jeans and a shirt.  “Okay, give me a few minutes to get ready then,” I say as I walk into the bathroom.  -- Gabby

I’ve been on the fence as to whether I should tell her what I’ve found out about him and his little convenient visit to her apartment. I’ve debated if she even needs to know, that while the way he went about it was beyond screwed up, he had decent intentions. I refuse to call them good, but I do think the immature prick meant well. If I keep it from her, then what does that make me? Insecure? A douche. A prick like him? Well, screw that. I refuse to stoop to his lows.  This makes my blood boil.  – Bradley Banks
